We’re back to regular format for this issue. Thanks to those of you who responded to our requests for action and volunteers. Ken Michaelis and Holistic Alternatives, Inc still need all of the support and expert testimony they can get. As of this writing the government’s case is still full steam ahead and scheduled to begin in May 2001. We will keep you informed of any developments in the case.

In this issue we will continue to discuss some of Rocky Fork Formulas new products. In this issue we will discuss Virex Complex a formula specially designed to fight colds, flu and viral infections. What’s New?

The reformulated Adrenal Complex, to be renamed Adrenal Complex HS, is in production. The finalized formula will contain 100 mg of lyophilized adrenal, 10 mg of lyophilized pituitary, and 5 mg of lyophilized hypothalamus. These three glands are involved in the system known as the adrenal-hypothalamus-pituitary axis. Standardized extracts of Siberian Ginseng (85 mg) and Panax Ginseng (35 mg) are the herbal complement for this formulation. These extracts are included because of their potent adaptogenic properties. L-Tyrosine (30 mg), 12 mg of magnesium and 20 mg of potassium chelate comprise the amino acid and mineral content. L-Tyrosine is used by the adrenal gland as the skeleton to construct many of its important secretions. Potassium and magnesium are both extremely important to proper function of the adrenal gland. The formula is rounded out by its vitamin and nutrient content. This includes Vitamin C (50 mg), Bioflavonoid complex (13 mg), Vitamin B1 (15 mg), Vitamin B2 (15 mg), Niacinamide (40 mg), Pantothenic Acid (50 mg) Vitamin B6 (30 mg), L-Methionine (25 mg) and Choline (15 mg). All of these have been chosen for their stimulating and supportive effect on adrenal function.

New Product Details

 

Chelaplex is designed to work as an oral chelation supplement either as a stand-alone or as an adjunct to intravenous drip chelation therapy. Each tablet is manufactured using our special two-phase technology for specific delivery of nutrients.

The stomach phase ingredients include amino acids. L-Cysteine, 45 mg, promotes arterial elasticity, chelates heavy metals, and promotes glutathione production. L-Carnitine, 3 mg, promotes mobilization and transport of fatty acids, aids in lowering triglyceride levels, promotes strong heart muscle contractions. DL-Methionine 25 mg aids fat breakdown chelates heavy metals, free radical anti-oxidant, collagen repair and synthesis, glutathione production. L-Taurine, 20 mg, control of serum cholesterol levels, enhances fat digestion, controls utilization by heart muscle of sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium. Also included in this phase are several herbs useful for both their chelating properties and the other purposes listed. Cayenne, 5 mg, has fibrinolytic properties. Hawthorn berry, (4:1), 10 mg, is anti-hypertensive, lowers serum cholesterol, increases blood flow. Yarrow (4:1), 5 mg, is anti-hypertensive and promotes venous tone. Garlic (4:1), 5 mg, Anti-thrombotic, anti-hypertensive, stops atherosclerosis, increases fibrinolysis, lowers lipid and triglyceride levels. Red Clover (4:1), 5 mg, for blood pressure regulation, anti-atherosclerotic, anti-arteriosclerotic. Ginger root (4:1), 5 mg, anti-hypertensive, anti-thrombotic, lowers cholesterol and triglycerides. Gentian (4:1), 5 mg, for circulation enhancement. Gugulipid (4:1), 5 mg, lowers cholesterol and triglycerides, anti-thrombotic, anti-atherosclerotic. The stomach phase also includes vitamins A (3000 IU), b-Carotene (50 IU), Niacin (3 mg), Folic Acid (70 mcg), Biotin (10 mcg), B6 (13 mg), B12 (45 mcg), C (335 mg) and Bioflavonoids (10 mg), D (35 mg) and E (17 IU). Vitamin C and the bioflavonoids have pronounced chelating properties. The minerals Calcium (38 mg), Magnesium (42 mg), Silicon (10 mcg), Zinc (1 mg), Copper (40 mcg), Selenium (10 mcg), Vanadium (10 mcg), Germanium (10 mcg) and Chromium (10 mcg) are also included to aid in replacing mobilized minerals. Additional nutrients in the stomach phase are L-Glutathione (3 mg), Choline (10 mg), Inositol (10 mg), Rutin (10 mg), Glycerine (5 mg), a-Lipoic Acid (10 mg), MSM (25 mg), N,N-dimethylglycine (DMG) (15 mg) and Betaine (TMG or trimethylglycine) (50 mg).

The Duodenal Phase is used to deliver pH sensitive enzymes for systemic absorption. These include Trypsin (75 mg), a-Chymotrypsin (3 mg), Bromelain (75 mg), Pancreatin (4X, 50 mg), SOD (25 mg), Catalase (25 mg) and Lipase (50 mg). Enzymes are potent chelating agents and Chelaplex is one of the very few oral chelators to include these invaluable supplements in its formula. It is also one of the very few chelators which utilizes the important two-phase tableting techniques which is essential for delivering pH sensitive supplements to the proper area of the gut for absorption.

Virex Complex is a potent combination of vitamins, herbs, minerals and other nutrients designed to ward off or reduce the severity and duration of viral infections of all types but especially colds and flu.

Each Virex Complex capsule contains the following nutrients: Zinc (10 mg) as gluconate, glycinate and aspartate. Propolis (100 mg), is a special bee pollen extract with antibiotic and anti-inflammatory properties. Standardized extract of Echinacea pupurea (100 mg) has immune stimulating, anti-viral and antibiotic properties. Grapefruit seed extract (100 mg) has a highly potent anti-viral effect. Vitamins A (2000 IU) and C (50 mg) with bioflavonoids (50 mg) are both potent immune stimulation and support factors.
